The home care industry got comfortable with doing what works for agencies—not what works for families.
Minimum hour requirements. Confusing rate ranges. Endless caregiver turnover. Strangers cycling through the front door. Clients paying for time they do not need just to satisfy company policies.
We saw it firsthand.
Before co-founding this company, Lacy cared for an individual living with Parkinson's disease who needed support at different times throughout the day. What he truly needed was flexible support in the right moments. Instead, he was limited to rigid four-hour shifts due to minimum scheduling requirements. He was paying for 12 hours of care when 6 strategically scheduled hours would have better met his needs.
The greater cost was the feeling of losing control in his own home. New caregivers rotating in and out. Door codes shared. No consistency. No peace of mind.
That was the moment everything became clear:
Home care was overdue for a reset.
So we built a company designed around the client—not the agency.
